Suggestion/request to those who do this sort of thing: A recruiting video using AC DC Thunderstruck or Shoot to Thrill; definitely closer to beta & using in-game footage of DFM/alpha/beta dogfights

I'll keep it in mind. We'll just need a lot of DMF footage and perhaps some ground stuff when it comes out. Of course we'd need a bunch of actors to stage boarding actions and cooperation of the scythe aggressor squadron if we want to get elaborate rather than mostly the same sort of shots of Hornets blasting away at something.

Perhaps something for a crew to work on at the end of alpha.

I've been dwelling on the issue of getting recordings done with actors. I may or may not be able to pull something off. I'll let you guys know in the next month or so if I can. Stretching myself thin with a lot of things right now.

We should get together sometime for this stuff when there is more in-game content available! I am going to be streaming A LOT of that stuff myself, since you mention Shadowplay... hehehe

We should get together a list of good sci-fi movies, shows, and/or games that have good space combat scenes in them. Or just good elements of futuristic battles as well. Then we could have a resource for video editors to work from.

I'd tend to agree that if we can use in-game footage as opposed to other games/movies it would have a better feel to it.

For me I believe we need to convey a clear message to our audience and potential recruits, so when they finish watching our stuff they are left with a definite idea of what the cause is about, what they can do to contribute and that they should join up.

I totally understand that in the short term we are struggling for this type of content and using other sources of footage is cool, but moving forwards my feelings are that in-game stuff does this a little better than using other sources.

No, I agree with you as well. My suggestion was meant to be a stop-gap for our current situation. Even when we get the DFM, we're going to be short of ship types for video purposes, since it will only have a few ships in it at the beginning.
