Star system data
Gents, I've been nosing around in the game's XML files, and I started building a spreadsheet for us to dump notes and observations about various systems into.

Note, system names here may differ from some online resources--these are from a fresh extract of the .PAK files as of last patch.

Anyway, file's at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l8ZpMxSFA0s4af9WVc4r0zlcXtj3UsQMrf8y905-O0s/edit?usp=sharing --send a PM if you want Editing access to contribute. :)

Hope it helps!
Anyone got a Con Andromeda Physical Goodies package you're thinking about melting for a Digital? Send me a note--maybe we can make a deal.

Interesting, if this is correct then the old map is largely still accurate, mostly new jumppoints and new systems in addition to the old. [glow=red,2,300]keep in mind while speculating on this that this data might be outdated and/or that maybe not all jump point connections are discovered on launch[/glow]

I've send this information to chief cartographer Zuur, so he can update the starmap. Could you perhaps also name the file you got it from?  Then he knows where to look in the future

Edit: If this data is correct, then I might have found the link between the mysterious Banu planets  :o

Edit2: If this data is correct then there is a second possible route into caliban from the terra side of the map through Xi'an space (yes it sounds as weird as it looks on the map)

Edit3: Hereby a quick map i made based on the data by Diamondback, the layout is based on Zuur his starmap but especially the new systems I just put in places to make it easily readable. To download a higher resolution file follow this link

Notes on the Banu: Trise (mistakenly called Triese by me)  seems to be the link between the lower Banu territories and the Banu planets in Vanduul space (Adilan) and up 'north' (Gliese). Nearest UEE planet is Corel (2 jumps away), Yulin seems isolated.... Overall there seem to be perhaps too few Banu planets, I would expect more, though perhaps some of the undiscovered planets turn out to be Banu planets.

Notes on the Vanduul: Vanduul systems charted after Tiber and Orion seem to all begin with a "V", with the exceptions of 'vega' and 'Virtus' expect most if not all other systems to be Vanduul systems if they start with a V. There are a lot of possible Vanduul systems charted. Double of what we knew.

Thanks for making it a little more visual, Marcus. :) Spellings may vary, but it's enough to give a general idea--I've usually relied on Void_Singer's map at http://leeft.eu/starcitizen/ though it would seem she needs a fresh extract too.

If Adilan is indeed Banu, that suggests an entry vector for a rear-area attack, come in via Triese->Adilan and hit targets of choice staging out of Adilan. I THINK UDS18 might be Krell and the gateway to Kr'Thak territory, but not sure.

NOTABLE GLITCH: I saw systems named Pallas and Pelles--Void_Singer's map shows Pallas having connections to Gliese, Tohil, Oya and Hadur, while Pelles is an Unclaimed connecting Castra and Stanton. I don't know when the last update to her map was, though--it shows a LOT of differences on the eastern-side Xi'An systems. I'll send her a note asking about things.

Part of my thinking with the doc is not just navigation, but also where we can leave notes about lucrative trade routes and killer deals or PITA-to-get gear.

Source file is CitizenClient\Data\GameData.PAK extracted with 7-zip, then a series of XML files in the extract whose names start with "Systems_"--I would have added Jump Point coordinates, but my spreadsheet software won't give me enough decimal places; I'll see about putting 'em together  in Notepad and posting 'em here.

Here's a sample of code for one Jump Point, the UDS9 JP in the Adilan system.

   <EntityPrototype Name="Adilan.JumpPoints.UDS9" Library="Systems_Adilan" Class="SC_JumpPoint" Description="Jump Point">
      <Properties celestialBodyType="jump_point" descText="Jump Point" destStart="UDS9.JumpPoints.Adilan" destSystem="UDS9" distance="undefined" heliocentricLat="-50.28136839040654" heliocentricLong="54.78717686750153" jumpPointLevel="none" jumpPointType="unknown" object_Model="objects/default/primitive_sphere.cgf" secFaction="unknown" secLevel="0.9">
         <Physics Density="-1" Mass="-1" bPhysicalize="0" bRigidBody="1"/>
         <AdditionalArchetypeProperties PrototypeMaterial=""/>
      </Properties>
      <ObjectVars OutdoorOnly="0" CastShadow="1" CastShadowMinspec="1" LodRatio="100" ViewDistRatio="100" HiddenInGame="0" GlobalInSegmentedWorld="0" RecvWind="0" RenderNearest="0" NoStaticDecals="0" CreatedThroughPool="0" ShowHideUsingTimeOfDay="0" VisibleFrom="0" VisibleTo="0"/>
   </EntityPrototype>

What does this tell us? We don't know how coordinates work, but we know it's about 50 units west and 55 north of the system's primary sun. I'm guessing JP Level is a restriction on ships that can pass through it (though we don't know if "None" means "Nothing Through" or "Unrestricted")--that is also data we'll need for planning our deployment routes because our jumping fighters are probably gonna need refueling somewhere along the way. "secFaction" I'd guess tells us who owns the destination, though it only allows "UEE", "Alien" and "Unknown" for options. "secLevel"... well, I'm not sure but the Vega-Sol JP lists Sol as 0.2 here, Centauri-Croshaw is 0.7 and so is Centauri-Nul.

I'll do some digging... but for now, since, I'm re-processing systems in alphabetical order here's one to start the party. This makes me wish I knew how the old FL Companion, FL DataStorm and Freelancer Trading Helper tools worked and how to recode them for SC...

Also, I've added what market and crime info I could get from the various System Unlocks and similar guide entries; those are shaded in yellow.

Bumped with new sheet--"POICoords" is the Heliocentric Latitude/Longitude Coordinates (Wand S are -, E and N are + values) for Jump Points and other Points of Interest (planets, space stations) I've found.

EDIT: "Jump Holes"? Man, I really am showing my Freelancer roots, aren't I? LOL

There was a showcase of the star map in the town hall event. Anyone look into that? I'm pretty sure they hovered the mouse over Orion and Vendetta (at least).
It's a penguin... with a gun. I'd run if I were you.
