LTI and ship upgrades

Hi fellow Forkers!

Some of us (New Backers I mean) might benefit from Xeriar's or Sailor's kind offer to melt our ships into LTI ones before November 26th, so I figured I could share some informations I found.

We all know there will be Constellation and Freelancer variants, hopefully before the end of the LTI. If you are interested in these variants, you might want to check those links:

Basically, they say that the insurance of an upgraded ship is the same as the base ship's insurance, so you won't need to gift your ships again once the variants are out.
