Coordinating a flight of Scythes and Glaives during the free access period

For those unaware, everyone has access to the Scythe and Glaive until the 25th. You just enter the code - CITCONFLIGHT2K15 - here: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/promotions/citizencon2k15

Explanation: I set this speech to audio, bought a royalty-free license to a suitably epic bit of music and mixed them.

Sailor67 and a few other Pitchfork members have heard it. They agree it needs to have a suitably awesome video to set to it. I've been grabbing some CIG video to work with, and some of my own, but my computer can't handle most of Star Citizen.

Specifically, I am looking for menacing flights of Vanduul coordinated wings, Vanduul ships blowing things up human ships and each other), Vanduul ships getting blown up, etc.

Have fun and get some spectacular shots.

Flights of cutlasses ambushing hornets can also be useful. There may be a few other lines in the speech that could have Arena Commander or Social Module video set to it.

Past video of Vanduul blowing up and getting blown up can work too. I just want to have clear permission from all participants. Both for use and so that I know who to credit.

Otherwise, please use this thread for trying to coordinate mass flights and fraps recordings.

The final video will be 720p.


If you can't / don't want to do this, we are also looking for a few more things.

1) Social module video clips. PTU and/or normal. These don't need to be very long - they're for the one or two fourths of the "Shining or Sincere, Imperial or Free" phrase. Just get somewhere with a nice view and record a few seconds of video. I have tried to get in but it is simply impossible for me.

Social module and older vanduul swarm clips that you can grant permission to should be posted to this thread.

2) We want suitably epic animated Pitchfork logo sequences. Something worth signing off the video with. ~L~ is working on one, but the more the merrier. Ideally I'd like to get a library of things to sign off with and eventually we'll fall back to one or two like we did with Pitchfork's current static logo.

Please coordinate and demonstrate such works in said thread.


Credit will be given to all participants and contributors for their parts in this.

There is time - I am planning on relaunching the Operation Pitchfork site, and having a more capable community site ready for this 'unveiling' of Pitchfork, as it were. Stuff is a bit limited as I do have to do things that actually go to paying for my server, etc.

Once I get Star Citizen working on my PC again I'm definitely going to take a swing at some of these ships.

I have a Glaive, F7C, and SH. I can CCU the F7C for a Cutlass Red or something else if need be. Whenever you want to do this, I'm probably available.
