We are a massive player based event, consisting of thousands of pilots and hundreds of organizations, from every alignment. Pitchfork is about being a backer, not Pirate /Bounty Hunter/Merchant/Whatever. There is a relatively tiny group (3 -12) of us that fly together nightly starting around 8:00 PM EST (some are from the EU so up late). We go to Kareah and throw down a challenge (my version below):

Simply, there is not much at stake, and rather little non-player generated content at the moment. So we generate some of our own. Most of our goals are more community related, and I think this will help bring our community closer (with laser fire). 

Obviously, I have hopes that many of the participants would be disposed to join us for a certain “suicide mission” at the end of the beta. <b>☺</b> What you want to live forever?

<b>Nuts and Bolts</b>

We have gotten pretty good at getting all of our members in one instance, and have had as many as 12 in one instance. So while I think it might take a bit of work, I can see getting 16 or 20 folks from two teams in one instance without a huge problem. You have to admit 10v10 furball would be pretty cool…. 

Voice communications: we can provide a private room to anyone without a Discord/Teamspeak/mumble Server on our <a href="https://discordapp.com/invite/0khMm8QaHUmR8btK">discord server</a> if you prefer not to make your own. This is not limited to our orgs, but any group who wants to fight with or against us. We would also be happy to act as a go between for orgs wanting to fight someone besides us.

Sounds fun. I'm not great at dogfighting and I only have an Aurora LN so I'd be useless even if I had skills. I'd be happy to do some FPS though.

People would probably ignore you, as most do not perceive the Aurora to be a legitimate threat. Because of this, you could be a great support ship; throw 4 mass drivers on and deal a lot of damage before people take notice. Plus it is hard to hit an Aurora and they tend to be pretty tanky.

Best to format these posts in code tags, when planning to post in other fora. Reddit uses markdown, RSI forums use html, Star Citizen Base uses BBCode. If we want to put this out to all major centers of Star Citizen's community, we'll want to tailor it for each.

Don't Know Xeriar, your version is better written than mine, but the edits feel a bit too formal. That just may be my POV on heck life, I prefer informality in most things. Anyone else want to chime in? What parts should we keep throw out or edit?

The web stuff is cool, the only thing I would change on those is YouTube links. I like seeing the screen shot that is displayed in the post and we have something besides a WOT.

I am playing around with an idea and I want your feedback. Right now I flying in the BPU is great but unless there is a bunch of action it can get boring. I think we have developed something of a reputation

The thing we did with Legacy was pretty darn epic, and I would like to get those kinds of battles on a regular basis. But I wanted to get some feedback of the "regulars" (note I am limited in the number of folks I can pm at once so others not being included was a function of me remembering how to spell your handle :p)

I am thinking of starting a new thread "The Operation Pitchfork Org battle matrix" or some such (I need to think about the title more) where we set up regular matches between orgs but not only against us but each other as well. We would act as liaisons as well as combatants

Besides having more fun, the primary goals are two fold, first is to take the action we have in the BPU up a notch, second is to start building the relationships with other orgs for the main op.

Secondary goals are to get better flying as a unit figure out tactics that work.

I am still working out the how and what details and wanted to get your ideas about before we go public. Plus I want to know if you think it is a good idea or not. You and the other regulars will get the brunt of if it works. If you don't like it I will table it for now.
